The Monument/Dayville girls basketball team almost gave away their first round playoff game.

They led 33-27 with less than four minutes left to play in the game, but allowed Portland Waldorf to close the gap to 35-33.

The Tigers played tough defense in the final seconds and Britta Conlon's shot missed the mark as time ran out.

Neither team led by more than six points in the game.
