MONUMENT – Drivers in the Monument area may see increased heavy truck traffic Sept. 14-21, according to the Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management.

The trucks will be hauling material on the Top Road into Monument and along Wall Creek toward Gilman Flat, working on a 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. scheduled.

The BLM is continuing work on the Gilman Flat Road from the end of County Road 31 to the Morrow County Line, about nine miles northeast of Monument.

The road is expected to remain closed for repairs until the end of August.
