PRAIRIE CITY - A log truck drifted onto the soft shoulder of Highway 26 and slid into the ditch about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Oregon State Police, responding to a report of logs in the highway, found that Roger L. McKinley, 67, was driving west with a full load of logs when the accident occurred.

The logs destroyed a cement riser belonging to the city and struck two fog markers, but no one was injured.

The driver was cited for failure to maintain the lane.
