IDAHO - As many as 1,864 degrees were conferred last month at four University of Idaho commencement ceremonies - a record number.

Among the graduates were two students from John Day: Lee Unterwegner, bachelor's degree, civil engineering; and Jessica Cooper, bachelor's degree, advertising.

Dean's list, spring term

To make the dean's list, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and complete a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework.

Eastern Oregon University

HELENA, Mont. - Matthew Jones, Mt. Vernon. He is studying nursing.
