JOHN DAY - Volunteers are being sought to participate in the latest weather spotter training on April 25 in John Day.

The Skywarn Weather Spotter training is free and will be held at 7 p.m. in the library at Grant Union High School, 911 S. Canyon Blvd. beginning at 7 p.m. The training is co-sponsored by Grant County Emergency Management.

The two-hour training session teaches volunteers how to observe cloud formations and how to determine which storms are potentially severe.
