Fall Harvest Festival

• 5:30-7:30 p.m., Prairie City Community Center (formerly the United Methodist Church)

Activities include pumpkin carving and painting, and a chili feed catered by Blue Mountain Hospital. People can bring their own pumpkins; some will be provided. Menu includes chili, cornbread, hot chocolate and cider, for $5 a person or $20 per family. Sponsored by the Prairie City Community Association.

Celebrating community

• 5:30-7:30 p.m., Trowbridge Pavilion, Grant County Fairgrounds

Activities at "Celebrating Community: 40 Ways to Make a Difference" include a free barbecue, door prizes, pie baking contest and a variety of activities. Businesses can "make a difference" at the event by providing a food dish, cash donation, a door prize or volunteering to help set up or tear down. EORenew's ‘Fall Gathering'

The event will include a no-host lunch and SolWest brainstorming session. All are invited. BMH banquet, meeting, auction

• 5:30 p.m., Trowbridge Pavilion, Grant County Fairgrounds

No-host bar opens at 5:30 p.m.; dinner for the "Winter Wonderland" starts at 6:30 p.m. Menu includes herb-roasted pork loin, stuffing, sweetened acorn squash, green beans, cranberry-spinach salad and assorted breads, with apple pie and ice cream for dessert, catered by Any Thyme Cafe Catering. Games and auctions (pie, live and silent) will run all evening.

Package drawings will be held for an Upland game hunt, a home entertainment package and a Wallowa Lake getaway.
