Sept. 21, 1934 – Oct. 19, 2010

PRINEVILLE – William Dean Pollak, 76, died Oct. 19, 2010, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Impact Church in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Redmond. 

Mr. Pollak was born Sept. 21, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Lud Pollak and Linnea Johnson. 

On April 12, 1980, he married Dorothy (Stone) Pollak in Huntington Beach, Calif. 

He retired in 2005 and lived in Grant County for eight years. He loved nature, wildlife and photography. He was also an avid motorcyclist. Jobs he held included contractor, court clerk, and sales. He attended Impact Church in Redmond. 

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pollak; daughters, Dawn Marie Cwynar of Roanoke, Va., and Kelly Ann Bower of New Port Richey, Florida; son, William Dean Pollak II of Orange, Calif.; sister, Patricia Pollak of Newburg; and sister-in-law, Barbara Baucum of John Day.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Johnson Pollak.
