HALFWAY - Making final preparations for the district tournament, the Grant Union High School wrestling team had nine of 11 wrestlers place in Saturday's Pine Eagle Invitational tournament.

Earning first-place finishes were Josh Arnall at 140 pounds and Sam Stinnett at 171.

Gus Stiner took second in the 160-pound weight division and Marshall Hayes and David Wright placed third and fourth, respectively, at 145 pounds.

Rustin McLeod finished fifth in the 140-pound weight class and Logan Titus was fifth at 130 pounds.

Capturing sixth-place were Ian Humbird (130) and Ian McLeod (135).

All the wrestlers are in good shape and ready for the district tournament in Enterprise on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, said coach Dave Naibert.

"We have a few colds, but everyone is all right and ready to go," he said.
