JOHN DAY – Len’s Drug was featured recently in ComputerTalk for the Pharmacist, a technical publication for the industry.

The John Day pharmacy was one of several Northwest outlets visited by writer Bruce Kneeland, whose column highlights pharmacies offering programs or services “that extend beyond the practice of filling prescriptions.”

He lauded owners Greg and Marla Armstrong for their efforts to support the community, saying they give “new meaning to the phrase ‘community pharmacy.’”

Kneeland noted the Armstrongs’ other business interests, which include the Subway sandwich shop, Corner Cup evening coffehouse, and Muzzi’s dollar store.

However, the article focused on the pharmacy as a community asset. It noted pharmacist Armstrong’s investment in equipment and procedures at Len’s, and also the healthy-heart classes offered at the business.
