Twila ‘Darlene' Hammack

Darlene Schreckhise Hammack, 85, of Prairie City passed away March 14. There will be no funeral service.

She was born to Verda Dean Ferguson in Perry Oct. 12, 1932. She married Thomas Haskins in 1949, and together they had five children. She worked at Blue Mountain Nursing Home for many years. Her favorite pastimes were oil painting, crocheting and flower gardening. She gained her love for the outdoors with Tom, her first husband. They spent many days and nights mining, fishing and enjoying the outdoors and nature. She resided at the Prairie City nursing home at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by one sister; three husbands; three sons Rocky, Tony and Tommy; two grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Faye.

She is survived by son Kelly Haskins and his wife, Sue, whom she resided with for the last 15 years; daughter Twila Daniels and her husband, Jim, Prineville; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
